Your priorities come first.
We make room for your questions, preferences and feedback. The conversation continues during the session, because what feels appropriate can change.
ABOUT IKIKŌ
Our name, our philosophy, and the experience that shapes our work.

THE MEANING WE GIVE OUR NAME
For our brand, Ikikō (生光) brings together ideas of life and vitality with light and radiance. We express that intention as “Living Light” or “Light of Life.”
This is our brand’s interpretation of the name. It reminds us to make room for the person behind each appointment: their priorities, their preferences, and their own sense of well-being.
Living Light
The intention behind Ikikō.OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe thoughtful bodywork starts with a conversation. Understanding what matters to you helps us discuss an approach that respects your comfort, choices and boundaries.
We make room for your questions, preferences and feedback. The conversation continues during the session, because what feels appropriate can change.
We explain the approach and invite an informed choice. You can decline an option, ask for an adjustment, pause, or end a session. Consent is an ongoing conversation.
We value professional conduct, respectful communication and personal boundaries. We want you to feel able to speak openly about your comfort and expectations.
We aim to be clear about what a service involves, what we know and where uncertainty remains. We do not promise cures or a particular result. Our wellness services do not replace medical assessment or treatment.
Recommendations should fit your goals and preferences. We explain the options and leave the decision with you, including whether to book another visit. Questions and feedback help us keep improving.
MEET OUR FOUNDER
FOUNDER · IKIKŌ BEAM
Our founder, Korben Jewkes, brings over a decade of hands-on experience to Ikikō. His background spans spa, chiropractic and luxury resort settings, along with earlier leadership roles. Those experiences have shaped his attention to both the bodywork itself and the way a guest is welcomed.
His work draws on deep tissue, structural and trigger-point techniques. Rather than following a fixed routine, he brings an adaptable flow to each session, informed by the guest’s priorities, preferences and feedback.
At Ikikō, we carry that approach into our philosophy: listen carefully, communicate clearly, and leave room to adjust. We value experience alongside curiosity, and we see continued learning as part of doing thoughtful work.
THE PRACTICE WE WANT TO GROW
For us, this is an aspiration: to build a practice where guest needs, practitioner well-being and responsible business decisions support one another.
We want sustainable practitioner careers, room for ongoing learning, and steady improvement. These principles guide the kind of workplace we hope to build as Ikikō grows.
